I went to school and sixth form with Ian, or "Leafy" as we always called him. He was such a nice lad with a quick, sharp sense of humour. He was a very talented musician and I remember listening to some of his early recordings whilst sitting in the common room hiding from our teacher because we were supposed to be in the study room! I saw Leafy every school day for seven years, on the bus. There was a group of us from Washington who caught the 864 and made the back seats our own! It is obvious that Ian touched the lives of everyone who knew him, past and present, and his loss will leave a hole in many a heart. My thoughts are with his nearest and dearest at this time.
